About Annalise

I’ve been providing therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families for over twenty years. Through my early years as a young social worker in Chicago, to my current season as busy mom and therapist in Pasadena, I have developed an appreciation for the capacity of humans to grow, learn, and heal. I believe that the craft of therapy is best practiced with a great deal of warmth, humor, and humility. The safety of the therapeutic relationship is a space where people can experience vulnerability without judgement, and allow their natural inclination towards healing to flourish. It’s my job to provide that space.

My approach is informed by research into attachment, neuroscience, and trauma. I employ strategies from a number of approaches and modalities, including somatic work, mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, and Play Therapy. I particularly enjoy working with adolescents, with all of the intensity, creativity, passion, and laughter that comes from that very special season of development.
